The Department of World Languages and Cultures seeks to promote an understanding and appreciation of other civilizations and cultures.
Language courses provide rigorous training at several levels stressing proficiency in all the linguistic skills.
Offerings also include literature, civilization and cinema courses in classes conducted in the target language and English.

Need a quiet spot to study or a place to do group work? Go to the circulation desk and check out a key to a library study room.
The library's third floor is the designated Quiet Floor.
Each semester your ExpressCard has $10.00 on it to be used for printing in the library or Webb 410.
Like to read? We have a Leisure Reading collection. It's in front of the elevator on the 2nd floor.
The library is wireless - bring your laptop and find a space to work.

Academic Services Center
REMEMBER, the ACADEMIC SERVICES CENTER has a Writing Center if you need writing or citation help. The center is located on the Library's first floor, across from the elevator.
The Writing Center is a writing support service staffed by specially trained student tutors. The tutors are selected by the English Dept. for their writing ability and their interest in helping other students with writing assignments.
Students are encouraged to use the support offered by the Academic Services Center located on the ground floor of the Library. Tutoring, Math, Writing, and supplemental Advising Services are available for students in the Center at the following times: Sun. 2-9; M.-Th. 9-9, Fri. 9-5. (Closed Sat.) For further information call 465-4272 or check the ASC website.
